I believe in creating individualized treatment plans to fit the specific needs and goals of my patients' unique condition. Treatment options that I may incorporate include physical medicine, optimizing medical management, and interventional pain management techniques.
I'm certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and has a subspecialty certification in pediatric rehabilitation and pain medicine (algology). I feel that I’m in a unique position because my background combines physical medicine and rehabilitation with pain medicine. These specialties enable me to provide a comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan for my adult and child patients.

Diagnosis is the identification of the nature and cause of a certain phenomenon, an experience to determine "cause and effect."
The aim of Physical Therapy Diagnosis (PTD) or Functional Diagnosis (FD) is to diagnose movement system impairments to guide intervention for health optimization such that the disability can be minimized. The objective is clearly focused in the expertise of identifying clusters of movement system dysfunction and classifying them rather than diseases.
Treatment effectiveness and prognosis are further mapped for a particular classification of movement system impairment using function as an outcome. This not only increases effectiveness of practice but also contributes to health care and research.

Spinal disc herniation is an injury to the cushioning and connective tissue between vertebrae, usually caused by excessive strain or trauma to the spine. If you have a herniated lumbar disc, you may feel pain that radiates from your low back area, down one or both legs, and sometimes into your feet (called sciatica).
If the cervical vertebrae bones which form the spine in your neck become damaged, they may bulge abnormally or break open, in what is called a herniated or slipped disc. A herniated disc in the neck can cause neck pain, radiating arm pain, shoulder pain, and numbness or tingling in the arm or hand.
The knee joint is the largest joint in the human body and whit it's complex structure is subjected to the most strain. Therefore there is a considerable risk of knee joint injury or disease. Damage or disease that affects any of the bones, ligaments and tendons that hold the bones together, as well as cartilage may lead to pain.
Back pain is a common condition that can range from a chronic dull ache in the back to a sharp, debilitating pain. Bad posture or obesity or a side effect of aging may cause back pain. Neck pain can be associated with radiating pain down one or both of the arms. Neck pain can come from a number of disorders or diseases that involve any of the tissues in the neck, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, or muscles. Osteoporosis is a bone disease that weakens our bones, making them thinner and easier to break. The reduced bone density and quality leads to decreased mechanical strength, thus making the skeleton more likely to fracture. Usually rheumatic conditions progress slowly, and parents might notice the issue only when a child starts limping or falling frequently. Neck retention is an injury to the muscles and tendons that support and move the head and neck. The neck is susceptible to injury because it is capable of extensive range of motion. Because neck pain is a common and sometimes disabling problem, various methods of treatment are routinely used to mitigate symptoms.
